I was gonna blog something happy but after blog surfing, it’s like everybody’s so pensive. And for some weird reason, it’s rubbing off on me.
And then I saw Mag’s tag on my board and then suddenly I have an overwhelming sense of missing people. People that I haven’t seen or talked to in ages. It’s like sometimes we get so busy that we aren’t even allowed to keep our friends around. =(
And now Mag’s married and all the way in Canada, and Tash is a Canadian PR and Kris is gonna be in Hong Kong and it’s all just really sad that nobody’s in Singapore anymore!
Even Zeke says that he wants to move to New York forever!
Which in response I said that I would fly over to NY and whack him on the head until he came home.
=(
So because I was feeling like such, I started MSN-ing people.
Kris who just got back from her road trip around the States,
Jack Sen who has been in Florida for the longest time and yet still bothers to keep in touch with me =)
Hui who I haven’t talked to in ages and yet still love very much!
Cheng Xi who is quite a random choice. But we hadn’t completed our conversation last time. Heh.
Hmm.
And it made me a feel a whole lot better. It made me realize that even if we don’t keep in contact so often and even though we’re so busy with our own lives, it doesn’t mean that we don’t love each other any less.
Ryn: DEB!!! I can’t wait for our hk trip!!! Yay yay yay!! Miss u!!!!!
Mag: omg ryn! i was gonna tell u girls cant wait to see u in hk too! anyways.. it's gonna be sooo much fun! lets go OceanPark! and dim sum!
Mag: I misss and luv u deb btw <3>
Debra: Ryn, mag! MISS U BOTH!!! Yes I can’t wait for when we go hkg! I’m really excited! Miss and luv u mag and ryn!!!! =)

Talking about blog-surfing, Tash came over the other day for Aunty Pat’s surprise birthday celebration and we started bitching about this blog that we both visit from time to time.
After bitching at breakneck speed for the longest time, Sandy overhearing us, asked the age-old question…
“if you all can’t stand the girl why do you still go read her blog???”
You’d think we be caught off guard. But NO!
HAH!
The truth is that we enjoy the bitching. We know we don’t like the girl but we just can’t help it! We love to hate her.
And then Sandy asked another stunning question…
“So you all don’t want her to change to being nice anyway”
And then this really caught us off guard coz we realized that it really is true!!!
Coz if she were to change, we wouldn’t have anything to bitch about anymore!!!
OMG. Super chopster discovery.
I mean, now that I’m saying it, it kinda seems very obvious that that’s the case. It’s just that it’s not obvious until somebody says it.
It’s like gravity.
Last night, Sandy and I did another super chopster activity.
We did a hierarchy of noodles.
SANDY’S
- Mee Kia
- Mee Pok
- Yellow noodles
- Kway Teow
- Mee Tai Mak
- Chu Mee Fen
RYN'S
- Chu Mee Fen
- Mee Tai Mak
- Yellow Noodles
- Bee Hoon
- Kway Teow
- Mee Kia
- Mee Pok
I asked Sandy why Bee Hoon wasn’t on his list (even though I know he loathes bee hoon with every fibre of his being).
And he said ‘EEEWWWWW!!!! Bee Hoon is how gross!!’
To which I said that ‘Bee Hoon has to have a place in everyone’s hearts babe!!’
So he added bee hoon in but it’s so far down the ladder that it’s negligible on the list.
It all started when I was eating my Fishball mee tai mak and Sandy said that he doesn’t mind finishing up my food coz he would never order mee tai mak on his own coz there are other noodles available!
Kinda makes you think right?
Like if it were me, I would NEVER order Yellow Noodles if there’s Chu Mee Fen even though I don’t mind yellow noodles.
We then went on to do a hierarchy of rice which got a bit confusing.
Ba Zhang, Ketupat, Fried Rice, Japanese Rice, White Rice, Rice in soup…
Man, that’s a long list.
So what is your hierarchy of noodles, yo?
