That day, Sandy and i were having a discussion on ants.
I said that ants are the most good-for-nothing things on earth.
Everytime i see ants, i would scotchtape them all up. Muahahahahahaha.
Then Sandy said...'what about cockroaches yo? Aren't they even more useless?'
i said...'yea but at least cockroaches are dinosaurs'
and then...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (--> Sandy laughed)
'Cockroaches are NOT dinosaurs!!!!'
Of course they are! I told him that he was being so stereotypical thinking that dinosaurs have to be those big monsters like triceratops and pteredactyls and tyrannasaurus rexes.
Cockraoches were around during those times too!
So of course they are dinosaurs.
He REFUSED to believe me and immediately went to wiki D-I-N-O-S-A-U-R-S.
Here's what simple wiki says:
Dinosaurs (Dinosauria) were reptiles that lived in past times. The word "dinosaur" comes from Greek, meaning "terrible lizard". Scientists think dinosaurs first appeared about 230 million years ago. About 65 million years ago, dinosaurs became extinct. Birds are sometimes considered descendants of dinosaurs.
'Dinosaurs are REPTILES babe!!! and therefore cockroaches cannot be dinosaurs'
But t also says in simple wiki that 'birds are sometimes considered descendants of dinosaurs' and birds are not reptiles.
Sandy didn't really bother arguing with me after that coz he had more important things (read: operations management exam studying) to do other than talk dinosaurs with me.
So in conclusion:
Ants are the most good-for-nothing things on the face of the earth.
Cockroaches may or may not be considered as the most good-for-nothing things on the earth dependent on their status as dinosaurs.
p.s.: Deb, now that you know cockroaches may be dinosaurs, you'll have to stop killing them!
