I can’t seem to download iPhoto! My com just got sent to for repairing and now that it’s back, my whole iLife Suite is missing!
Crap. Now I can’t rotate photos before putting them up.
Damn sian.
Anyways, the post still goes on.
I finished reading my book!

The Time Traveler’s Wife!
I know it’s not a new book. In fact that was one of reasons why I didn’t want to get the book in the first place. But after countless trips to Kinokuniya and many hours staring at it, I FINALLY decided to get it. And boy, do I not regret it.
Audrey Niffenegger is a genius can! The way she weaves the whole story together and tells it from the perspectives of Henry and Clare at their respective ages is beyond amazing. It’s no wonder she took 4 years to complete the whole book. Like seriously, how does a book flow seamlessly when there is no order of time to guide it?
Woah.
Anyways I am extremely excited about the MOVIE coming out! Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s production company, Plan B, bought the movie rights to the Time Traveler’s Wife even before the book launched. So, you just know that the movie’s gonna be awesome. Especially since it stars Rachel McAdams (who I adore!) as Clare.
Eric Bana is a dubious choice as Henry, though. We’ll have to see how that one turns out. I always imagined Henry as being played by someone like Edward Norton. I think Edward Norton would make a perfect Henry.
Here’s a fan trailer for the movie.
So basically what happens is that Clare meets Henry for the first time when Clare is 6 years old and Henry is 36. They get married when Clare is 20 and Henry is 28. All this coz Henry is a time traveler. Not by his own will but it happens whenever it is triggered by stress and the like. And because when you time travel you can’t bring anything with you, Henry always ends up naked, having to run and rob to survive. The story chronicles how his life with Clare works out and how they meet each other at different stages in their lives.
Yep it’s a really confusing story but somehow, when you read it you totally understand what’s going on.
So everybody go read the book before the Movie comes out next year! It’s gonna be totally worth it.
I have the feeling that if you were to just watch the movie, you won’t get to experience the full theme of time and you won’t get to understand the frustrations of the characters well enough. And obviously, they’re gonna cut some characters from the book out of the movie, which really is a pity coz there aren’t many characters to begin with.
Ok now for random photos…
Met Lynn, Siao and Baks that day for dinner and coffee.
Not bad la, we had quite a lot of fun! Luckily the group is quite big so at least 4 people can make it every time we meet. Haha. Gotta have this kind of theory to keep the gatherings going. If we were to wait for everybody to be free before we meet up, we’ll NEVER get to meet up!
Anyways, the next outing is a Wii + PS3-focused outing organized by Damon Seow. Woo! So exciting!! I wanna play Wiiiiiii!!!

HAHA. Unglamest of photos.
Ok and here are some pics that I took with Kris in Hong Kong!

See the ‘3’?
3 is actually the service provider in Hong Kong! Actually if it were in Singapore, it would be ‘STARHUB’ there.
So cool right!!!! Hahaha it’s like labeling my photo. =)

That’s my beef macaroni. I actually didn’t know it was macaroni. The menu said 通粉 (tong fen), so I asked the girl ‘what is 通粉?’
So she said ‘通心粉’
And I was like ‘????????’
I thought it was tang hoon.
But the macaroni was very nice la!!! Damn nice! But not cheap. I think that bowl cots me 4 sing bucks.

I know my these pics are super overdue. But really, better late than never right!
(And I know I said that I couldn’t rotate photos in iPhoto and therefore couldn’t post them, but I figured that I could just rotate it in Preview instead! So all’s good! I still miss iPhoto though.)

Sandy and I were at Suntec the other day playing with the carpark sensor. HAHA.
Super boliao I know.
BUT we managed to turn the sensor red!!! Quite zai right!!!
Hahahahahaha….we were so proud of it, we taught Tash how to do it on Saturday when we went to the E! Hub at Downtown East for some K-Boxing.
K-Boxing was fun on Saturday! We stayed there for 5 hours!
My fav K-Boxing song right now is 倒带.
I can’t embed the original Jolin Tsai version, so here’s the Jay Chou version!
Heh. Yes I’m a K-Boxing, Chinese-loving KTV-er.
That’s it for now, folks.
Till my next blogging urge.
In the meantime, pray for me k! There’s something I’ve been wanting, yet if it really does come, I’m gonna be terribly upset. One way or the other, it’s gonna be a tough time.
