i've been having lots of fun since school started. mostly coz i'm not in school half of the time.. hahahhaa..
this is what i've been up to....
KRIS CAME BACK!!!

she came to surprise me one day before the day that she told us she was coming back.
i was in hall and chris called me..
chris see: ryn are u in hall?
me: yup
chris see: ok i'm coming to look for u now coz i'm in nus. what's ur rm no.?
me: ok! A216.
pretty much along those lines..haha..he actually din wanna call me..coz it wld seem pretty suspicious. but my silly LeX* gave them the wrong room no. *what a boyfriend*. hahahhaha...
ooh when i saw kris i was screaming like the world was ending..haha..in a happy sense la..
we went out a few times..this is at indochine with kris, chris see and sulaiman.
see? i wore my shades coz the singer was wearing his shades too!
i am such a superstar. hahahahha...
anyway drinks were good! music was good. company was good.
doesn't my drink look nice? it's called a strawberry kiss! very mei..hahahaha..
i went shopping with kris coz she seriously lacks clothes.
she's so sweet! she spent so much money buying presents for everybody that she didn't have enough money to even buy stuff for herself.
u all better be grateful man!!

went went phuketing while kris was back..

i was praying that it would stop raining otherwise we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the trip..
we went to chandara resort and spa. it was gorgeous!
ok from top left to right..
1st row: view from the lobby. kris with her welcome drink and flower bangle. me with my welcome drink and flower bangle.
2nd row: the library in the lobby. it had 2 computers with internet access and it had dvds and mags that we borrowed!
3rd row: main swimming pool at the lobby. kris and zeke in the buggy on the way to the room. on the way to the lobby.
we watched a movie each night together as a family before dinner!

1st row:

i love it!!
it was raining on the first day..so we didn't get to do much..but the other 3 days were fine! i love the pool!! hahahahhaa...i played stupid games with kris and zeke in the pool.
ok here's how it's played:
the pool was lined with white stones (see the white border?)
so one of us wld take a white stone and hide it in the pool (believe it or not there were many places to hide it)
and then when the person's hidden it the other 2 will go find it. winner gets to hide it next!
hahahahhahaha...
zeke was a rather good hider!!! heh..GEP lor.

the way breakfast works is that u have a main course (shown up there) in addition to the buffet spread. coz there are not many ppl there (it was soooooo empty), it wouldn't have been very practical to have prepared a full buffet spread..so they just had cereal and bread and fruits and juices.
my main course up there is scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and bacon at the side.

because mummy is a dbs card holder, we got to have a free half-day city tour. the phuket beach are lovely!! we were taken to the tip of phuket to see the view.
i took the doggy coz it was sleeping so near the edge!!!! hahahahha...
if it had rolled over any further, it would have just dropped down!
there were so many stray dogs in phuket..they're like stray cats in Singapore!
AND they're not those kind of mongrels..they're like retrievers and poodles and all sorts!
it was fun having doggies around!! haha..
oh yea..to digress for a while...there's been this stray cat lurking around A2! i don't really like cats and neither do my neighbours. it keeps wanting to follow us into our rooms!!!!
haha..mei shd be here..then she can take care of the cat.
why can't they have a stray dog lurking around????

as part of the tour, we went to visit the gemstone gallery..
we went to see how they make rings and necklaces with pearls and rubies and sapphires and diamonds!
mummy spent $1500 on jewellery!! hahahhahaha...
she was like "aiya i didn't come here to spend!!!"..
then in the end??
but her purchases were really nice!! forgot to take a pic of it for u guys but she got a pair of pearl earrings and a pearl necklace to match.
ok if u guys go phuket...the gemstone gallery is a good place to go to buy gemstones k!! hahahah..they really are very nice!!

the sun came out on the second day!!! i didn't wanna go in coz i was going for my spa package after that but i took zeke in the pool.

haha if u look at it in sequence it looks like the different steps to him falling into the water.
he had to jump 4 times in fact for me to get the effect.

that's my spa room! i had a lavender salt scrub and a swedish massage. so relaxing!
i even fell asleep during the massage.
it was a bit weird tho coz usually they'd give u disposable panties to wear but after my scrub and my shower she didn't give me a new set of undies!
hahahha..
the place was rather nice..i prefer open air ones..like the one i did with tash in bintan at angsana!
but the chandara one was nice too la..haha..
we went for dinner on the second night at the eclipse restaurant which was like 2 seconds away from the villa. See the wine cellar?
yea the restaurant had its own wine cellar!!
haha..i had my lime magarita. good refreshing stuff!
the lobster bisque was so goooooooood u know!! thick and yummy!
i shared a salmon w cous cous with kris and also had some of mummy's thai curry.
the next day, we went out for the canoe trip.
we had to take a boat out to phang nga bay where we got into boats to see 3 caves
a diamond cave
an oyster cave
a bat cave

they gave us refreshments on the boat. There was this thai snack which was really nice!
it was like pastry with sweet coconut cream inside.
there was tea, coffee and soft drinks up on board too!

that's the mountain we went to.
it had lots of caves at the bottom. so that's where we were going!
we got nearer to the caves before we got into our canoes.
kris, zeke and i sat together in a canoe and we had our guide, meksa, with us.
he was rather cute!! hahahaha..
we went to the diamond cave first. It was really dark so we had to have a torchlight with us. Since Kris was infront she held the torchlight.

at the end of each cave was a lagoon. it was kind of a mangrove swamp - the water was really shallow, we could touch the bottom. And surprisingly the water was really clean and really clear!
see the scenery in the lagoon. it was absolutely beautiful.
That's zeke's hand. the water was so clear!! not like singapore man..it looks murky but it's not!
our guides were sweet, they dropped us off at this small little beach so we could get off to take pictures as a family.
once again..i like thais!!!
ok after these photos my camera kinda died! arghhhh!!!!
all the photos taken out in the sun turned out over exposed which is really weird coz it's a digital camera!
so technically i can only take pics in the dark now..hahahhahaha..
that's pretty much my trip to phuket tho!!
after the canoe trip we just went back to the resort to play in the pool, watch a movie and have dinner.
the next day was going home day!

i just got back from batam over the weekend. went for the ymlc.
It was really good!!!! God is good. =)
My group was fun coz we really made an effort to bond together..
i know worship isn't supposed to be based on the worship leader but i just have to say that some worship leaders were rather distracting. hahaha..but others were great. they really led people into His presence. And that was fantastic. I love worship!
The messages were really useful as well. I didn't really get the Wesleyan theology bit, but the messages on passion linking to earth, wind, water and fire as well as the character studies were good!
no regrets!!
i'll be going back next yr!..

because i've been out the past 2 weekends, we weren't able to celebrate tash's bday properly! sorry tash!!!!
but they were sweet..they waited for me.
either that or they couldn't make it last week. hahahhaha..
