it was aunty pat's family's last day in hk so we decided to go yumcha before they left. that meant morning yumcha-ing!
we went to this place at 1 peking road. it's called chuan inn. They have 50% off their dimsum from mon to sat before 12! so it was soooo cheap! we only paid sing $5 each for so much food!
remember i said that it was raining everyday??
see what happens when it rains..
it fogs up really badly!! the pollution in hk is terrible. my nose was literally itchy after being there for 6 days. ugh. i mean..it looks quite nice when you see the fog from a restaurant 10 floors up..but being in the middle of it does not do good stuff for the whole respiratory process.
oh i took a before and after shot. so here is the same view after the rain had cleared:

that night, it was just me and mummy! we wanted to go for some teochew food coz the teochew food there's supposed to be good and coz i'm teochew (duH).
we couldn't find a teochew restaurant though..we scoured our whole area for like an hour!
it was tiring..
so we just settled for some unknown restaurant for dinner in the end.
the food turned out surprisingly well!! haha..
we had fish maw and chinese cabbage stew and stuffed squid fried ith garlic and chilli.
looks good eh?
and it was kinda like a makeshift teochew dinner coz we wanted to eat the teochew porridge.
ok quick fact:
if you didn't already know, teochew porridge is like just rice in soup. easy peasy.
so we just ordered rice and added in the fishmaw soup. as good as any porridge i've ever tasted!
we went down to nu ren jie after that again to do some more shopping!
it was a bit more difficult without mag coz mag knows how to be very deh..
and she usually gets the price we want..haha...
i didn't know cantonese so it was so obvious that i was a tourist. that wasn't very fun.
but we did manage to get quite a lot of things!! so i'm happy!

the next day mummy and i went down to flower market street again coz mummy didn't go the previous time. i didn't really shop a lot coz i had already gotten a few things before. We bought stuff for zeke and daddy and mummy bought a few things for herself.
We also got our lao po bing from there! it was all freshly made and really cheap! HK$10 for 4 which is like S$2 for 4. We bought 5 boxes. that's ALOT of lao po bing. it was so heavy!!! we had to lug it all the way back to the hotel from prince edward! that like carrying a ton of stuff from orchard to city hall. ok well it's not THAT far..but it was still tiring!!
that was our last night already..so we met mag for dinner again!
we went to eat at macau restaurant where they had all the macau (duH) food. macau food is like portugese food coz they were a portugese colony before...
we had some portugese chicken curry, pork chop buns, pork chop baked rice, kangkong, roasted pigeon and portugese egg tarts!
i felt really bad for the baby pigeon while eating it so i only ate one piece. it was really quite sad..
they even put the pigeon head on the plate! that made it alot worse. =(

i like these cups..very billy bombers milkshake. hhaha..keeps the drinks cold!
we went down to the avenue of stars after dinner coz it's quite near our hotel..
the avenue of stars is like the hollywood walk of fame..only the hongkong version of course.
when we got there we saw this..
haha mag was so proud!! oh if you didn't know, mag flies with cathay..so she's really proud of their being airline of the year..

i love all the lights!
that opposite is hongkong island..
the floor there is really pretty! they had small lights embedded in the walkway..so it looked like stars on the floor!

the next day we had to head back to singapore!
we went to chuan inn for yum cha one more time before going back..
mummy and me on the express train...
yaay back in sg!!
i got zeke a spain jersey and spain was playing that night so he decided to wear it immediately..haha..
so cute right!
since he took spain i decided to take ukraine..
we even had a friendly wager..
i lost.
