welcome to another episode of..
"what do you want?" *cue fancy gameshow music*
on today's episode we see another three contestants telling us exactly what they want, and hey hey hey, if you want it, we've got it. that's right! we're gonna play santa clause to these three lucky contestants in the next half an hour with a budget of $1 million dollars *cue fancy megabucks music*..so without further delay, let us introduce our contestants.
contestant no. 1: Sally Gimmealot
sally is 21 yrs old, has just graduated from NUS and is going to get married on the 6th of june to her boyfriend of 5yrs. Her fiance is currently serving in the airforce (as a technician), and they have recently bought a flat in the Yio Chu Kang area. *cue applause*
contestant no. 2: Tony Moneypants
Tony is a father of 2 children and is happily married to his wife of 18 years. He is the CEO of a publishing company that he set up from scratch. Tony now has a 7-day workweek, and hope to have some time to himself. *cue applause*
contestant no. 3: Lucy Whatisgoingon
Lucy is a student at Meridien JC and is having holidays right now, as she has not found a holiday job yet, she is spending her time at home and on school holiday projects. Lucy hobbies include shopping and watching tv just like any other girl her age. *cue applause*
alright so contestant no. 1, Sally, what would you like on your shopping spree of a lifetime?
sallY: well richard, since i've just gotten married, i would like a new house. i've found the perfect one at 15 salam walk and i'd really like that please!
but sally, that house costs more than a million dollars! please change your request. *cue snorts from the audience*
sally: well in that case, i'll settle for a condo in the main CBD area, including the maintenance fees, an interior designer and all the furniture and household items i need!!
well well well sally, if you want it, we've got it! welcome to your new condo complete with all interior furnishings!!! *cue spectacular prize-giving music*
alright so contestant no. 2, Tony, let's play "what do you want?"
Tony: hi richard, truthfully, i'd just like some time with my kids.
but hey hey hey Tony, we cannot buy you that, tell us something that we can get for you. how about buying you a glorious holiday for you and your family to...sunny spain!!
Tony: no thanks, my wife and kids went over to Spain last week...
*awkward silence*
alllrrrriigght...contestant no. 3! Lucy..now tell uncle richard what you want!!
Lucy: ermm..i don't know.
Lucy..you mean you don't want anything?????
Lucy: ermm...it's not that i don't want anything, ii'm alright with anything that you give me, i think you can decide what to give me.
*awkward silence*
so that concludes another episode of..."what do you want?" *cue fancy gameshow music*
i love lucy. go figure.
