Ok so here we go yo.
As I said in my previous post, I bluffed 三 that I had to work on Monday.
It wasn’t easy ok.
I thought he kind of suspected that I was on leave because usually when he leaves my house late and I have work the next day, I’d be like
“call me when you get back to hall ok!”
and he’d be like
“no! you go and sleep. I’ll msg you”
But on Sunday night, I was my usual
“call me when you get back to hall ok!”
and he was like
“ok”.
*gasp* did he know I was not working???
ROAR.
So I had to morph into superduperkoreandrama mode.
I pretended to almost cry
“I’m so sorry I cannot spend your birthday with you tomorrow babe!!!! *tear*”
ALMOST *tear* la.
Hahahahahha.
Oh wells. That did the trick.
I slept really late on Sunday night preparing his present…
Cool huh! Hahahaahaha.
I used Tash’s cupcake recipe!
Which for the benefit of Miss Yiwen i’m putting up at the end of the post.
[Yiwen: I’ve told 三 to let you try the cupcake already! It’s in Guanyou’s fridge.]
This time round, I didn’t do the cream cheese icing though, I did a buttercream icing instead so that I could anyhow decorate without thinking so much about flavours clashing.
And it all fit into a pretty box:
I couldn’t wrap the present the night before coz the icing would melt.
So I had to wake up EXTRA early (read: an unearthly 5am!) on Monday to wrap it before my Daddy and Zeke were ready to leave.
Daddy dropped me over at hall after dropping Zeke at school so I was there at like 7am.
And seriously ah.
I dunno why LeeSanDuo always has to latch his room door.
I didn’t even use the latch my door when I stayed in hall last time!!

So spoiler.
But when I finally did manage to get him (after calling him and asking him to open the door) he was really like super surprised can!! Yay~
Opening present…

Coz 三 actually went for a haircut the previous day and came out of the salon hating it.
It’s actually not bad lor.
But he really thinks he looks damn cock.)

I got 三 a gorgeous wallet from Agnes B.
Coz his present wallet is like so tattered and beaten up.

三 didn’t get the meaning of the shirt till like late late late at night.
Even after wearing it for the whole day!

We watched Horton after that!!!
三 liked it. But I thought it was OK only.
The Whos are quite scary.
I never liked them. Even when I was reading Dr. Seuss last time.
They’re seriously very scary la! Especially when they’re singing. Totally did NOT like that part at all.

Ugh.
Dinner was at NYDC with the usual boys! =)
All in all my babe REALLY enjoyed his birthday. It was a fantastic surprise and so many people helped me pull it off.

OK Cupcake recipe!!!
Chocolate Cupcakes (courtesy of Trisha Ann Lazaroo) (makes about 18)
Ingredients:
¼ cup Cocoa Powder
1 ½ cups Self-raising Flour
1 ¼ cups Sugar
1 tsp Baking Soda
125g Butter
2 Eggs (slightly beaten)
Method:
1. Beat the Cocoa Powder, Sugar, Butter and Eggs together with an electric mixer.
2. Sift Flour and Baking Soda.
3. Fold in the Flour and Baking Soda into the beaten mixture in two portions. i.e. Fold in half the flour first then the other half later.
4. Pour into muffin cups until the mixture fills up ¾ of the muffin cup.
5. Bake at 180 deg Celsius for about 20 minutes.
For the icing you can just search online for any icing you like la.
Mine is not so fantastic so I’m not putting it up. =)
Ooh but Wen! If you try sD’s and you like the icing then let me know again! I’ll post the recipe for the icing then. =)
